Global asset manager Abrdn has hired Sam Buckingham (pictured) as an investment manager within its managed portfolio service (MPS) team.
He joins from Kingswood, where he was an investment analyst since 2020. Buckingham previously held the role of portfolio manager at Thomas Miller Wealth Management from 2016.
Buckingham said: “I am delighted to be joining Abrdn at such an important time, as well as a team that has built an attractive MPS proposition with a strong track record.
“I look forward to working with them, aiming to deliver consistent risk-adjusted returns and provide a great overall service for our clients.”
At the start of 2023, Abrdn’s MPS ranges managed assets worth £2.3bn.
