Pumfleet will lead the investment management within the firm’s UK enterprise risk services practices, which helps organisations address technology risks, business process and control improvements and deal with the implications of current regulatory requirements.
While at Threadneedle, Pumfleet was head of technology risk, leading the firm’s front, middle and back office technology risk programmes.
Simon Owen, lead partner of Deloitte’s enterprise risk services practice, said the consultancy had been seeing growing demand from investment management clients.
Meanwhile, Pumfleet said Deloitte was well-placed to help investment management firms face daunting and potentially transformative opportunities and threats that have emerged in the areas of regulation, global expansion and change execution.
