Previously Stenham’s head of offshore sales, Cocking has over 20 years’ financial services experience, including roles at Goldman Sachs International, RBC and Merrill Lynch.

The appointment comes four months after Andrew Clark joined Jupiter from Schroders as head of private clients & charities. The firm wants to further build up its assets in this area – in the past four years its assets under management have doubled to £1.9bn.

The firm currently employs a staff of 26 offering a bespoke service for clients, using an open architecture approach with a wide and varied range of investments.

Clark said Cocking’s new role will help increase awareness of Jupiter’s advantages as a specialist investment manager for private clients and charities, while also broadening and deepening its relationships with professional intermediaries and consultants.
