Bottomley is an indirect replacement for Richard Dunn, the private banking commercial director who left at the end of last year to join Metro Bank. Around the same time, the firm also lost chief executive Dean Proctor, recently replaced by James Fleming.

Bottomley was senior manager/client partner at Coutts, and has over 25 years experience in the private banking and wealth management sphere.

She said: “I believe we have seen substantial change in the wealth management arena since the events of 2008 and I am excited to be moving to Arbuthnot Latham – a bank that can offer truly bespoke solutions and personal service to its clients”.
