According to the independent platform’s November sales data, IMA Mixed Investment 20-60% Shares was its top selling sector for the second month running. The sector held the top spot for almost 12 consecutive quarters before being dislodged by IMA Strategic Bond for one month in September.
Other IMA sectors attracting strong sales during November included Strategic Bond, Global Equity Income and £ High Yield. However, the IMA Money Market Fund, UK All Companies and UK Equity Income sectors witnessed outflows.
Michelle Woodburn, head of fund group relations at Cofunds, said: “Mixed Investment 20-60% Shares seem to have created a boom with advisers in November, however volatility has seen many sectors seeing outflows.”
In terms of individual products, John Chatfeild-Roberts, Peter Lawery and Algy Smith-Maxwell’s £4.2bn Jupiter Merlin Income Portfolio was the bestselling for the second month running.
James Harries’ £3bn Newton Global Higher Income Fund, Paul Causer, Paul Read and Neil Woodford’s £1.9bn Invesco Perpetual Distribution Fund, Stuart Rhodes’ £3.9bn M&G Global Dividend Fund and Richard Woolnough’s £10.3bn M&G Optimal Income Fund complete Cofunds’ fop-five November sellers.
