He joins the team headed up by head of the European equities team Laurent Ducoin who joined the firm in October last year.
German national Kulessa started at Carmignac Gestion at the beginning of last month, having previously worked in the mergers and acquisitions team at KPMG AG in Frankfurt. Before this he was with Société Générale and Wachovia Securities in London.
Kulessa’s research will feed into three European equity propositions, the Carmignac Grande Europe, Euro-Entrepreneurs and, the one diversified fund of the three, Carmignac Euro-Patrimoine funds.
His coverage of the eurozone will also feed into the global funds it runs.
