Until February this year he had spent more than 20 years working for Legal & General, his most recent role being operational readiness director (RDR). He held this position for three months to the end of 2011 prior to which, from August 2010, he was customer service/operations director with responsibility for the company’s platforms and structured investments.
He also has experience as operations director for L&G’s consumer savings division as well as four years as head of investment services.
His new role is a combination of developing brand new propositions as well taking on part of the functions vacated by Anita Juneja when she left her job as head of strategic relationships to join SEI in May this year.
Mendoza’s main function will be to manage relationships with new and existing strategic partners including platform providers as well as developing the product infrastructure for the firm’s investment products and services.
