He will take overall responsibility for the asset manager’s quantitative research and proprietary models and technology used in its investment process.

Beverley has 12 years’ investment experience, primarily in asset management with a focus on quant strategies and asset allocation. At Morgan Stanley Investment Management he developed portfolio analytics and asset allocation models for wealth management.

He also worked for Barclays Capital as a senior quantitative strategist in a team managing $2.5bn (£1.59bn) in multi-asset class quantitative strategies and Ucits funds.

Chris Wyllie, Iveagh partner and chief investment officer, said the appointment would strengthen the team’s skills base of a process which has served the firm well since it was established five years ago.

A full interview with Wyllie about Iveagh’s process, how it has dealt with market volatility in the summer and its bearishness on the future will feature in the forthcoming October edition of Portfolio Adviser, out next week.
