Askew will be assisting lead manager Elliot Farley on the T Bailey Growth Fund, T Bailey Dynamic Cautious Managed Fund and the T Bailey Defensive Cautious Managed Fund.
The performance of the three funds is shown in the graph below.
The Growth fund is the largest of the three with around £171m under management. It aims to achieve growth in the medium – long term, and currently has 25% of capital invested in North American equities.
The Dynamic Cautious Fund, meanwhile, has circa £25.5m in assets, with 37% invested in international equities.
The smallest of the funds, the Defensive Cautious, has £16.5m under management, almost a quarter of which is invested in fixed interest assets. It aims to outperform the IMA Cautious Managed sector average on a total return basis over the medium-to-long term.
Askew joins the firm from Salisbury Partners where he was a member of the investment committee and was responsible for income, libor-related, multi-asset and hedge fund strategies.
He also has his own consultancy firm, focusing on current and future challenges and opportunities in global asset management across strategies.
Martin will continue to play an active role on the T Bailey investment committee.
