CG Asset Management has appointed Sophia Sednaoui and Katie Forbes to its investor relations team, with Sednaoui joining as head of investor relations and Forbes as head of investor relations for the Capital Gearing trust.

Sednaoui (pictured left), who will begin in August, has spent six years at Carmignac, where she was business development director. In 2020, she co-founded investor network Virtuvest, which she will continue to work on while at CG.

“I’m delighted to be joining CG Asset Management to lead the Investor Relations team. CGAM has a stellar reputation in the industry, and the unique culture of the business is key to its continued success,” Sednaoui said.

“I look forward to working closely with the team to strengthen relationships with both clients and prospects, bringing my industry expertise to further their position in the UK market.”

Forbes (pictured right) began her role in May after her previous role of senior investor relations associate at JPMorgan Chase where she spent nearly five years. Previously, she was an analyst at Goldman Sachs.

“I am incredibly excited to be leading Investor Relations for Capital Gearing Trust plc, an investment company with an amazing story to tell. Drawing upon my experience and relationships across the investment trust sector, my aim is to raise awareness of this hidden gem. I look forward to making contact with current and prospective investors,” Forbes said.

Alastair Laing, CEO of CG Asset Management added: “CGAM was founded in 2001 with the following principles: the client comes first, don’t be greedy, and have fun. We could not be more delighted that Sophia and Katie are joining us. Not only will they strengthen our team and enhance our distinctive culture, but most importantly, they will ensure our clients always come first.”
