Financial services giant Rothschild & Co has set up a private markets group within its wealth and asset management division.

The team will create a private markets offering for its wealth and asset management clients, leveraging its internal expertise and product knowledge. Clients will also be able to benefit from Rothschild & Co’s Five Arrows suite of products through its merchant banking division.

The newly created group will work across geographies and divisions, sourcing investment opportunities in the areas of private equity, private debt, infrastructure and real estate, creating access, as well as investment vehicles and discretionary mandates for private clients.

It will be led by Jessica Sellam, who joined Rothschild & Co’s wealth management division in 2006 and previously led the private markets and business development teams for France, Belgium and Monaco.

Sellam said: “There is increasing interest from our wealth management clients in private markets’ products and we have a wealth of expertise across the group that we will be able to harness for their benefit. Our aim is to roll out the offering across our key wealth and asset management geographies over time.”
