Portfolio manager Dean Cheeseman (pictured) has left Janus Henderson after five years at the firm.
A spokesperson for Janus Henderson confirmed his departure to Portfolio Adviser, adding that head of multi asset Paul O’Connor and portfolio manager Tihana Ibrahimpasic will continue to lead the multi-manager and core income fund ranges Cheeseman had co-managed.
The spokesperson said: “Paul and Tihana have significant experience in managing multi-asset portfolios and worked closely with Dean prior to his departure to ensure the smooth transition of his responsibilities. We thank Dean for his contribution to Janus Henderson Investors, as well as his unwavering commitment to our clients.”
Cheeseman joined Janus Henderson in 2017 after a six-year stint managing money at Mercer. With 25 years in industry, he has also held roles at F&C Asset Management, Forsyth Partners, and Quilter.
In a Linkedin post, he said: “My five years at Janus Henderson has been a genuine joy. It has been quite an incredible period that commenced with the corporate merger as two businesses and cultures came together; saw high levels of market volatility as economic fundamentals fluctuated with ever rising geopolitical tensions; and concluded with wholesale changes that have now transcended throughout the wider business.
“It has been a privilege to have been a part of the multi-asset team who, with their ‘putting clients first’ attitude, have constantly evolved to embrace new markets and build innovative and robust solutions.”
He gave no details of his next career move.
