In a stock market announcement this morning, Investec said it has made a preliminary approach “regarding a potential share offer for the entire issues and to be issues share capital of Evolution.”
The approach was made subject to a number of pre-conditions including a requirement for the unanimous recommendation from Evolution’s Board.
Investment banking and private client management group Evolution has a number of brands in its operations, including Williams de Broë and private equity firm Darwin Strategic.
As part of its private client business, Williams de Broë operates six, former Singer & Friedlander portfolios: Balanced, European, Fixed Income, Global, Growth and UK. It employs over 150 investment professionals in seven UK locations.
The group said a further announcement would be made in due course.
