Hawksmoor adds to growing London office

Hawksmoor Investment Management has appointed a senior manager to its London office as it looks to expand business in the south east.

Formerly of Sanlam Private Wealth, Chris Nevile has joined the firm as a senior investment manager, reuniting with Simon Atherton and David King who left Sanlam to join Hawksmoor last year.

The London office, headed by Max Weatherby, opened in April 2016.

Nevile joins from Sanlam with 37 years’ experience in the industry. He was a managing director of Granville Private Bank and set up Nevile Merriam in 2000 which later became part of Sanlam Private Wealth.

Weatherby said: “It is a testament to our investment process that Hawksmoor is attracting experienced managers like Chris Nevile to join our expanding team here in London.”

Nevile added: “I am delighted to join Hawksmoor at this exciting stage of their expansion, and I look forward to developing the Company’s business, not only in London, but also around the Oxford area where I live.”
