BlackRock Global Funds Emerging Europe, managed by Sam Vecht, has been upgraded to a Bronze rating from Neutral.
Simon Brazier’s Luxembourg-domiciled Threadneedle UK Equities and UK funds, previously Bronze, have now been awarded a Silver rating. Brazier is deemed to have delivered consistent relative performance which, alongside the overall strength of the UK equity team, has resulted in the upgrade.
Previously unrated, the Axa Framlington Health Fund, Artemis Global Income Fund and the IFDS IM WHEB Sustainability Fund have all been rated Bronze.
According to Morningstar, Gemma Game, manager of the Axa Health Fund has demonstrated detailed and in-depth understanding with a strong valuation and portfolio construction discipline, and the fund offers an attractive investment opportunity for those seeking exposure to the healthcare sector.
The Artemis Global Income Fund has a unique portfolio construction and fund manager Jacob de Tusch-Lec has diversified away from the more widely held equity plays, resulting in its new rating, Morningstar OBSR said.
The long term sustainability features of Tim Dieppe’s fund, meanwhile, along with the rating agency’s ‘high regard’ for the team, and their stock selection integration, lead to the WHEB Sustainability Fund being rated Bronze.
