Vickers will be responsible for supporting and developing the SEI Wealth Platform customer base. He will report to Brett Williams, managing director of the SEI Wealth Platform, UK Private Banking.
He previously held a number of sales and operational positions in the wealth management industry, including as part of the management team that delivered and launched the online Selestia Platform for Old Mutual in early 2001. He has also worked at a senior level with Skandia and Old Mutual Wealth.
In addition to Vickers and Williams, SEI’s UK private banking executive management team now comprises Jim London as chief operating officer, Martin Steer as commercial director, Kevin Russell, proposition director, and Steve Waldron, head of operations.
Williams said: “Bringing someone of Andrew’s calibre and experience to our executive management team is a testament to the platform’s robust growth and strength in recent years. Andrew is well known in the industry for his wealth management knowledge and expertise, and his experience in sales and operations will help us to grow our client base over the next few years.”
Vickers said the opportunity to work with SEI “proved too good to miss”.
He added: “Successful investment businesses of the future will cross the ‘technology bridge’ and focus on their key strengths, outsourcing the rest to experts like SEI. I really look forward to working with the team to help shape the way wealth managers make the most of the huge opportunity that presents itself today and in the future.”
