Forgan will join Fidelity in September as co-portfolio manager and will work on the group’s £6.4bn multi-asset income franchise, which is led by Eugene Philalithis.

He will report to James Bateman, chief investment officer, multi-asset at Fidelity.

Forgan managed multi-asset funds at the former Henderson Global Investors for over 13 years. Prior to this he was a senior performance analyst at First State Investments.

Commenting on the hire, Bateman said: “Chris’s appointment reflects the continued expansion of Fidelity’s £40bn multi-asset business in line with growing client demand for multi-asset solutions.

“The addition of another highly experienced manager enables the team to continue to meet client expectations and support further asset growth globally.”
