A spokesperson for Argonaut confirmed Speck will join the group from Monday and will work closely with its head of sales Keith Rumbelow.
Argonaut was initially launched as a 50/50 joint venture with Ignis Asset management in 2005 and until 2012 relied on Ignis for its back office functions.
In 2012 Argonaut raised its stake in the business to 60% and took management control and has since been building out its sales function.
Speck joined Baker Tilly from RSM Tenon, when it merged with RSM’s trading arm in September 2013.
