The wealth manager said in the newly created position, Mirner will take a leading role in targeting new markets, including energy, technology entrepreneurs, law firms and accountancy practices.

Alec Stewart, Anderson Strathern Asset Management CEO, said: “Eamonn has extensive managerial experience and an in-depth understanding of the financial services sector and investment operations. As the success of Anderson Strathern Asset Management grows, Eamonn will play a key part in setting the company’s strategy, underpinning both the operations and finances of the business. I am confident that Eamonn is equipped with the expertise and business acumen required to support us through this period of fast growth.”

Mirner’s appointment follows soon on the heels of August’s appointment by the group of Harry Morgan as CIO from Thomas Miller Investment Management.

Mirner joins from HSBC where he was head of fund administration, Anderson Strathern said. Previously, he has held positions at Standard Life and was CFO at Ignis Asset Management between 1994 and 2012.
