Aviva Investors has added a number of people to bolster its multi-asset team.

Trevor Leydon has been promoted to head of investment risk and portfolio construction. In this new role, he oversees construction and risk management for the firm’s investor’s multi-strategy range. He was previously head of investment risk fixed income. Prior to joining, he was with UBS O’Connor.

Ben Maynard has become head of equity derivatives, joining to team from the fixed income desk. His new role includes creating investment ideas and aiding with the structuring of positions to construct market-leading propositions. 

Meanwhile Wei-Jin Tan joins in October to assist Leydon in portfolio construction and risk, and forms part of the front office risk team dedicated to multi-asset investing. He joins from State Street Global Investors, where he was responsible for risk management for their absolute return products.

In Singapore, Mary Nicola joins the multi-asset strategy team as an investment strategist. She is covering Asian equity, fixed income and FX markets.

Earlier this year in May, Ian Pizer joined Aviva to be reunited with former Standard Life Investment GARS founder and colleague Euan Munro.

“These new additions to the team come from a range of disciplines spanning all major asset classes and combine a breadth of experience with strong technical skills,” head of multi-assets Peter Fitzgerald said.
