She will join on 3 October from FrontPoint Management when she becomes the third member of the team, joining Simon Edelsten and Alex Illingworth to manage the new Artemis fund launched in June.
The fund takes a long-term, thematic approach to global investing in search of the superior returns that Artemis said characterised its overall approach.
Burcheri was previously a partner and pan-European fund manager at FrontPoint Management.
She started her career at Paribas Asset Management before moving to M&G and then to the Shell pension fund.
“Rosanna’s appointment, our sixth to the investment team this year, continues our strategy of growth and diversification,” said Artemis senior partner Mark Tyndall. “I am delighted that we are able to attract fund managers of Rosanna’s calibre. I am sure that her contribution will see our new Global Select franchise prosper over the years ahead.”
