Earlier this year Roe-Ely left XCAP as its head of asset management after working there for just under a year. Previously he managed funds at both Tilney and JO Hambro Capital Management.
He has been in the fund management industry for approximately 30 years and worked in the private client arena for most of that period, although his most recent background is more institutionally-focused.
Roe-Ely will work alongside Lorraine Dodd also an investment director, and someone he worked with for almost 12 years when at Tilneys in Liverpool.
Rathbones’ Liverpool team has around 15 investment managers who look after approximately £1.5bn of private client, charity and trust assets.
