Stoter, who has been with ING IM for around 15 years, replaces Mark Weber who will be returning to the firm’s US office to resume his responsibilities as executive vice president of structured assets, loans and alternatives.
Stoter will also chair the global investment leadership team, which oversees the investment teams, investment processes, portfolio performance, and risk characteristics of mandates and funds managed by ING IM International’s investment boutiques.
Tim Dowling is to take up the role of head of credit investments and lead portfolio manager global high yield role, formerly held by Stoter. Dowling is New York-based, and will report to the new CIO.
