Seven Investment Management has tapped into M&G, Tatton and Zurich to recruit a trio of intermediary sales roles.

The wealth manager has created a head of sales management position to be filled by Andrew Watson, who was previously at M&G, where he spent 24 years. Watson was most recently head of UK wholesale sales but exited in 2019 amid M&G’s demerger from Prudential.

In his new role, Watson reports to Verona Kenny (pictured), 7IM’s managing director of intermediary. He will work with regional sales teams and will also be responsible for several strategic partner relationships.

Watson said he was excited to be joining 7IM and described it as an entrepreneurial and innovative firm.

Also joining the Seven Investment Management team is Simon Church, who becomes business development manager team leader, and Gareth Perry, who becomes business development manager. They will focus on the Home Counties and south west respectively.

Church joins from Tatton, where he was focused on London and the south east. Before that he worked at Charles Stanley and Quilter Cheviot.

Perry joins from Zurich where he was a wealth account manager for the south west. He previously worked at Verbatim Asset Management and Metlife.

Both report into Howard Hardy-King, head of south west intermediary at 7IM.

Kenny said the trio of appointments highlighted 7IM’s commitment to the intermediary market. “Their combined experience and insight will be vital in helping deliver on our strategy to grow the intermediary business by developing collaborative and long-lasting strategic relationships with our advisory partners.”
