According to Albemarle, Yousefian will sit on the firm’s investment committee and will help with the determination of asset allocation parameters and fund selection for its model portfolio range.
The move follows Yousefian’s departure from Charteris in the middle of July after just three months with the firm. Yousefian joined Charteris in April of 2014 and took with him the OPM Property Fund.
Clive Hale, managing director of Albemarle Street Partners Ltd said "Tony has been in the industry nearly as long as me and brings much experience to our investment team and process."
Yousefian said: "It is crucial that the model portfolios are effective as possible and that the right manager selection is made to reflect those asset allocation views.
"If you look at portfolio returns, as much as 75% of return is down to asset allocation with the rest down to fund manager and stock selection and market timing. That will be my role and I'm looking forward to getting started on 1 October."
