After his departure from Hargreaves Lansdown in May Yearsley took the summer off and he has now started at Charles Stanley, with the aim of launching the direct-to-client platform in Q1 next year.
Yearsley will work closely with Rob Hudson, head of Charles Stanley Direct, who he previously worked with at Hargreaves Lansdown and will fulfil a similar role to the one held at HL.
He said this would involve fund research, investment writing, PR, marketing and “bringing the offering to life”.
Hudson said: “Yearsley’s appointment is a significant endorsement of the Charles Stanley Direct proposition and I look forward to working with him once again.
“Charles Stanley Direct’s aim is to be a step up from the current providers in the market while complementing the well-established and respected Charles Stanley brand. Yearsley’s role will be significant in driving the content and profile of Charles Stanley Direct.”
Yearsley will split his time between Charles Stanley’s offices in Bristol, Bath and London.
