Woodford Investment Management has made six hires across its investment and operations teams.

Three analysts have been added to investment team headed by Neil Woodford and will work closely with fund managers Paul Lamacraft, Saku Saha and Stephen Lamacraft.

Lucinda Crabtree joins having held various analyst roles covering the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors at investment banks including Panmure Gordon, Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan.

Richard Lockington joins from Duff & Phelps where he worked on valuations of intangible assets and businesses.

Harry Raikes joins from financial advice firm Envestors where he evaluated proposals and conducted due diligence for unquoted companies seeking equity funding.

The operations function has also seen three new hires. Mohammad Sohail joins from Ruffer LLP as dealing and trade operations specialist to assist Grant Wentzel, head of trading, former head of operations at MSK Capital Partners James Coats also arrives and Dominic Eccles joins from BP’s asset management arm.

“The new roles are a reflection of an evolving, ambitious business that is growing significantly,” said Woodford IM chief executive Craig Newman.

“The investment analyst roles will provide valuable resource for our fund managers, while the operational hires are further evidence of our commitment to building a fund management company with a cutting-edge infrastructure,” Newman added.
