WisdomTree has launched a physical AI, humanoids and drones UCITS ETF, which will list on the London Stock Exchange tomorrow (19 February).

The ETF will track the WisdomTree Physical AI UCITS index, which allocates to companies that are imbedding artificial intelligence into physical machines.

It will allocate to businesses in five main areas: robotics, drones and autonomous mobility, next-generation factories (smart manufacturing), next-generation logistics and supply-chain robotics, and applications in healthcare, agriculture, construction and defence.

Pierre Debru, European head of research at WisdomTree, said: “Physical AI is not a single industry but a fast-emerging ecosystem where intelligence is being embedded into machines that operate in the real economy.”

This poses a challenge for investors, because the long-term winners are still unclear and value is spread across multiple layers, according to Debru.

Alexis Marinoff, European CEO at the firm, added: “Thematic ETFs are particularly effective at this point in a theme’s lifecycle, when the opportunity is broad, the winners are not yet obvious, and value is being created across an ecosystem.”

The ETF will have a total expense ratio of 0.45%.
