Willis Owen has appointed head of personal investing Adrian Lowcock and head of product and compliance Ian Taunt to the executive board as it seeks to expand its customer base.

Lowcock (pictured), who has over 20 years’ experience and joined Willis Owen from Architas last year, has a key role at the business to help clients make better financial decisions.

Meanwhile, Taunt joined Willis Owen in 2018 to focus on the creation of product solutions for its customers. Prior to this, he spent 12 years at Wesleyan, a financial consultant that provides specialist financial services for lawyers, doctors, dentists and teachers.

In a press release, Willis Owen said Taunt brings his technical, regulatory and product knowledge to the business.

The appointments take the number of executive committee members to five and aim to strengthen the business by providing additional expertise in the specific areas of focus within financial services.

Willis Owen managing director Jason Chapman said: “The combined breadth of experience they will bring to the board will be key to the growth of the business going forward.

“These appointments are just a part of our ongoing growth strategy, having recently launched our award-winning platform, and developed our Sipp further. Willis Owen now has a consumer voice and exciting proposition plans for the future. To take these forward, it’s imperative that those individuals, such as Adrian and Ian, who are key to our success have a voice at the top table.”
