Buchanan, who was previously deputy head of private clients takes over responsibility for the wealth management division for group CEO Richard Killingbeck, allowing him to focus on his role as group CEO.
The firm has also hired Rupert Yeoward to fill a second newly created role: deputy head of wealth management, with a focus on WH Ireland’s regional offices.
Yeoward, who joined in June, is responsible for leading and developing the private wealth regional offices in Bristol, Cardiff, Manchester, Milton Keynes and Poole.”
Prior to joining the firm, Yeoward was an independent wealth management consultant and had also worked previously at Rathbone Investment Management and Deutsche Bank, the firm said.
According to Killingbeck the appointments continue the firm’s programme of change across the division.
“Their extensive combined experience will be instrumental in the strengthening and development of our wealth management proposition. Working closely together, the pair will help WHIreland continue to be a forward looking, market-led wealth business, dedicated to enhancing our clients’ wealth.”
