SPGO Structured Products intends to provide “unbiased access to the whole of the structured product market”.
Consultants will include Ben Murison, who started his career at Barclays Capital, creating structured products on a cross-asset-class basis for British and Irish wealth managers. From there, Murison moved to The Royal Bank of Scotland, helping to start the bank’s business servicing top tier UK-based private banks and wealth managers.
Also on board is fellow ex-Barclays Capital’s Phil Taylor.
The duo will be the face of the organisation. Both have front office structuring and sales backgrounds and aim to work with clients to find tailored solutions in both secondary and primary markets.
The new consultancy said it would back products through a “wide array” of investment banks in order to provide flexibility to spread counterparty risk through one contact.
