AJ Bell investment director Russ Mould noted Easyjet’s October trading update revealed full year pre-tax profit would come in between £420m and £430m, toward the higher end of prior guidance, for the 12-month period to September – a good effort considering the tough environment for airlines.
He said attention is therefore likely to focus on any outlook statement given for the 2020-21 fiscal year. Key moving parts will be capacity growth, bookings, load factor, costs and how the acquired operations at Berlin Tegel airport are going.
