Waverton Investment Management has bolstered its presence in Scotland with four appointments to its Glasgow office.

All four arrive at the firm from Evelyn Partners. Graeme Brock and Roger Haxton join as portfolio managers and directors, responsible for primarily UK-based private clients and families.

Brock and Haxton have worked together for nearly three decades after beginning their careers at Greig Middleton (now Barclays Wealth) in 1996. They moved to Smith & Williamson (now Evelyn Partners) in 2005.

Lauren Craig joins Waverton as a portfolio manager after four years in Evelyn Partners’ Glasgow-based private client team. She began her career at Quilter Cheviot

Meanwhile, Charlotte Ayre has also joined from Evelyn in the role of team assistant.

Nick Tucker (pictured), CEO at Waverton, said: “Continuing to grow our business north of the border is a core part of our strategy and I am delighted to welcome Graeme, Roger, Lauren and Charlotte to Waverton. I am thrilled that we have secured them given the network they have and the experience they bring to really boost our Scottish presence.

“Offering an integrated wealth and investment service is key to how we look after clients, as we help them structure and grow their wealth over time. In addition, our reputation amongst introducers such as lawyers, accountants and investment consultants is expanding all the time and this series of appointments demonstrates our commitment to the region and our clients.”

Brock added: “I am sure I speak for the whole team when I say joining Waverton is an exciting move for us all. We have worked closely together for some time and see this move as a chance to provide our clients with a strong investment proposition alongside the known benefits of sound wealth planning. Waverton is certainly a firm on the move and the time feels right for us to be a part of their exciting story in Scotland.”
