Newton had been at Barclays Advisory Stockbroking since 2008 and advised high net worth clients on developed market equity portfolios. He has worked with private clients for the past ten years.
Powell also joins from Barclays, where he spent four years as a stockbroker focused on UK and US short term equity trade ideas. Before joining Barclays, Powell spent eight years advising clients in Europe and the Middle East on cash equities and derivatives.
The latest hires follows the recent appointments of Steven Moss and Mark Entwistle who also joined from Barclays as stockbrokers.
