The fund was originally opened in the VAM Funds Sicav in July 2010, as a sub-fund of the VAM Driehaus fund and it generally invests in ex-US companies with market capitalisations above $500m.
Driehaus Capital Management runs the fund and uses the Driehaus International Discovery Strategy to do so.
Its portfolio manager, Dan Rea, adopts a bottom up stock picking approach, looking for growth companies across the small to large universe.
He pursues non-index like portfolio construction and seeks long term alpha generation.
Michael Hunt, managing director of the fund, said: "We are opening the A share class in response to increasing demand from distributors that have been looking to fill the gap in the market for a global ex-US investment product.
"We picked DCM as investment manager for several reasons, one notably being the +14% annualised retuns its International Discovery Strategy has generated since inception on 1 January 1999."
The VAM International ex-USA Growth fund is a daily dealaing, Luxembourg regulated, Ucits IV fund.
