UBS rolls out first SRI fixed income ETF on LSE

UBS Global Asset Management has launched its first London-listed fixed income ETF to track an ethical benchmark.

Available on the London Stock Exchange, the Barclays MSCI US Liquid Corporate Sustainability Index targets fixed-rate, investment grade, taxable, dollar-denominated securities issued by US corporate issuers with an MSCI ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) rating of BBB or higher.

The index focuses on the industrial, utility and financials sectors, and companies that meet specific maturity, credit quality, liquidity and ESG requirements. Exposure to each issuer is limited to 5% of the total market value.

“Our new ETF listing is a reflection of meeting clients’ needs for an easy to access US corporate bond product that tracks an index which screens for companies which have strong ESG profiles,” said Andrew Walsh, head of UBS ETF sales UK & Ireland.

“This launch adds to our growing suite of ethical ETFs following the recent listing of the UBS ETF MSCI Japan Socially Responsible UCITS ETF.

The fund carries a TER of 0.2%
