Effective from 24 March, the appointment sees Ure take a seat alongside manager Francis Brooke, under whom he has worked as assistant manager on the trust and Trojan Income Fund since 2011.
A company spokesperson said that the promotion was in recognition of Ure’s contribution since Troy AM took over the running of the trust in 2009.
Ure arrived at Troy AM in early 2009 as an investment analyst before taking on an investment manager role under Brooke two years later. Prior to joining the firm he was an equity analyst at Kleinwort Benson.
