Bestinvest has added two faces to its commercial team and one to its marketing team, as the platform looks to push on from its relaunch in May.

Oliver Plant (pictured right), who has been head of Bestinvest since April, has overseen its transformation from a conventional do-it-yourself investing platform to a digital, hybrid proposition with free in-person investment coaching.

Joining Plant is his former Olivery Wyman colleague Louise Revell (pictured centre), who has been named head of Bestinvest proposition. She will be responsible for leading the growth and further differentiation of the platform.

In addition, Will Pointing (pictured left) has been appointed manager of Bestinvest partnerships, performance, and pricing, having undertaken similar roles at NewDay, WPP and MoneySuperMarket.

The third hire is Martin Pezet, who becomes head of Bestinvest marketing, having spent nearly six years at AJ Bell Youinvest.

Plant said: “It’s very exciting to welcome Louise, Will and Martin on board to develop the Bestinvest proposition and raise its profile. We believe we are offering retail investors something new, which also happens to be great value, and these appointments demonstrate not just our determination to build on its initial successes but also the wider business’s belief in Bestinvest.”
