Martin Briggs is to join Towry as part of the wealth manager’s expansion into South Wales.

The Cardiff-based IFA has run a financial advisory practice for 20 years and he has a large client base in the area.

He will initially be based in Towry’s Bristol office and will continue to service his clients from his temporary base.

He said he believed the move would benefit his clients, who will be able to take advantage of the additional expertise and wider range of services and investment management solution on offer through Towry.

The firm said it had been keen to establish a stronger presence in South Wales for a while.

Andy Cowan, head of wealth advice said: ““We see plenty of opportunity for further growth in the region and we intend to open a new Towry office in Cardiff later in the year. We welcome Martin to the team and we are confident this will be the start of Towry developing even stronger relationships with clients in South Wales who are seeking professional financial advice.”

Earlier in the year Towry director and senior client partner left the firm to take on a CEO role at Ashcourt Rowan
