Tilney Smith & Williamson hires financial planner for growing Exeter office

Comes as DFM looks to build locally based investment management team

Tilney Smith & Williamson has bolstered its Exeter office by appointing Neil Sparkes as a financial planner.

The wealth manager has been ramping up recruitment this year, including for its Exeter branch. In the last two months it has appointed financial planner Neil Thornton and former Charles Stanley man Will Matthewman, providing its West Country clients with a locally based investment management contact for the first time.

Sparkes (pictured) joins joins Tilney Smith & Williamson from Francis Clark Financial Planning. His 30-year career in financial services includes financial planning roles at Barclays Life and NFU Mutual. He is also a member of the Personal Finance Society and the Chartered Insurance Institute.
