Tilney announced it has appointed Chris Moore (pictured) as an associate investment director in Birmingham as it builds out its presence in the Midlands.
Moore joins from Smith & Williamson where he has worked as an investment manager since 2010. Prior to this, he has held roles at Personal Touch Financial Services and Andersen Charnley, which is now part of Cannacord Genuity Wealth Management.
Tilney said Moore’s role will involve working alongside financial planners in the region and with external firms of financial advisers and other professional services firms in the Midlands to manage their clients’ portfolios.
Alan Edwards, head of investment management at Tilney, said: “Last year we put a great deal of focus on adding to our investment management team across the country.”
Edwards said Tilney has been growing its presence significantly in the Midlands in recent years, including the recently announced acquisition of Index Wealth Management. He said the company continued to eye prospects for growth and expansion in the region.
