Effective immediately, the appointments of David Durrant, Sally Bartram, Louise Higham and Mike Williams will boost the firm’s countrywide operations as it seeks to expand its financial planning capabilities.
Durrant joins Tilney Bestinvest’s East Anglia office from Wetherbys Private Banking, reporting to managing director Richard Dawes.
Bartram bolsters the group’s Bristol branch, working under financial planning director Richard Stones to cover the surrounding Avon region, having previously been at Hargreaves Lansdown and Tilney prior to its 2014 merger with in Bestinvest.
Higham arrives at Tilney Bestinvest’s Manchester base from a chartered financial planning berth at LJ Financial Planning, reporting to financial planning director Ann-Marie Atkins.
The firm’s Birmingham office also sees its roster increase as Williams joins following a 10-year stint with HSBC. He will work under financial planning director Neil Watson.
Richard Dawes, managing director, financial planning at Tilney Bestinvest, said: “The growth of our financial planning presence through the hire of high quality professionals as well as bolt-on acquisitions such as our recent deal with Webb Holton in Birmingham is a key strategic priority for Tilney Bestinvest.”
The hires comes a week after Tilney Bestinvest acquired Birmingham firm Webb Holton as part of its venture into the financial planning space, and take the group’s financial planner recruitment spree to 15 in the past year.
The firm has also announced its intention to establish new offices on the south coast of England and east coast of Scotland as part of its continuing development.
