Thompson and Wagstaff to resign seats in Janus Henderson board reshuffle

Henderson and Janus Capital Group have confirmed a number of new executive positions in a board reshuffle set to take effect upon completion of the merger.

Roger Thompson and Philip Wagstaff will resign from the Henderson Group board but continue respectively as chief financial officer and global head of distribution at the combined group. They will also be members of the executive committee.

Timothy How and Robert Jeens will also retire from the Henderson Group board.

The following current members of the Janus board of directors will take board seats at Janus Henderson following completion of the merger, which is expected to complete in the second quarter 2017: Glenn Schafer; Richard Weil; Jeffrey Diermeier; Eugene Flood; Lawrence Kochard; and Tatsusaburo Yamamoto.

The full Janus Henderson board will see the following roles confirmed: Richard Gillingwater as chairman and Schafer as deputy chairman, while Andrew Formica and Weil will both become co-chief executive officers as previously announced.

The following eight people will become non-executive directors: Sarah Arkle; Kalpana Desai; Kevin Dolan and Angela Seymour-Jackson as well as Diermeier; Flood; Kochard; and Yamamoto as aforementioned.
