The TMI Sterling Bond Fund and TMI US Dollar Bond Fund are both registered for sale in the UK and pay a semi-annual income.

Thomas Miller has managed similar funds offshore since 2009, and it hopes the new Dublin-based bond funds will be more readily available to intermediaries, wealth managers, family offices, fund of funds and self-directed investors within the EU.

The two UCITS-compliant funds, which offer exposure to a diversified portfolio of debt and debt-related instruments, are co-managed by senior portfolio managers, James Penn and Rob Brockbanks.

“The underlying portfolios have a bias towards high quality corporate issuers, but also have the flexibility to use sovereign paper and other fixed income instruments within their stock selection,” said Carolyn Gelling, the company’s director and head of collective investment funds.

Thomas Miller’s institutional fund management and research capabilities will be accessible through the funds, as well as the firm’s expertise in fixed income asset selection within a liquid, daily dealing solution.

In April, the asset manager hired a new head of business development Laythamm Malorey to help strengthen its offshore business.
