He will be based in London with responsibility across the offices in London, Edinburgh and the Isle of Man.
Bearman was most recently chief investment officer at Santander Asset Management who he joined in December 2006. Prior to this he was head of UK equities at Insight Investment for five years and before this he was a UK equity fund manager at Prudential, managing life and pension funds as well as taking the role as analyst the media, utilities and consumer sectors.
For a decade to 1999, Bearman held similar fund management roles with Sun Alliance Investment and UBS Investment Bank.
Bearman’s appointment is the latest in an ongoing expansion of the firm’s investment proposition. Harry Morgan joined the firm this month charged with running a newly-launched onshore private client business that will complement its existing private client operation in the Isle of Man. He will be based in Edinburgh.
