Ian Hunter, a business-to-business specialist, has joined Thesis AM as a business development manager. His most recent role was a similar position with Ingenious Asset Management, who he joined in May last year after a year as head of sales with Sinfonia Asset Management.

The bulk of his career has been with Skandia, joining as an executive consultant in 1997, leaving as a regional sales manager for the Southampton region in 2010.

Hunter will be based in Thesis AM’s Lymington office.

At the same time, Thesis AM’s Guildford branch has been boosted by the hire of retail investment specialist Tamsin Sinclair as a marketing manager.

She joins after a two-year spell at Barclays Wealth before which she spent six years at Old Mutual Asset Managers.

Sinclair also has experience with Henderson Global Investors, Foreign & Colonial and Invesco.

Their recruitment follows the appointment in March last year of Lawrence Cook as business development and marketing director, and Neil Lloyd as compliance manager.

This expansion is part of the company’s ambitious growth strategy having passed in March this year a target of £5bn in assets under management by September 2013.
