Sheridan Admans has resurfaced at D2C platform Tillit as its head of fund selection.

Admans (pictured) spent over 15 years at The Share Centre as co-head of its multi-manager range.

Two of his former funds – the £29m ES Share Centre Multi-Manager Growth and £65m ES Share Centre Multi-Manager Growth & Income – have been merged away, following a strategic review by Interactive Investor, which bought The Share Centre in 2020.

Tillit said at the end of a competitive process, Admans stood out as “exceptional” and “the perfect fit with the ethos of the company”.

Felicia Hjertman, founder and CEO of Tillit, said: “We were blown away with Sheridan’s thoughtful approach to fund analysis, his focus on putting the personal investor front and centre, and his overall enthusiasm and drive to revolutionise how people invest and build a platform that creates real change.”

Following Admans appointment, Ben Yearsley and Gavin Haynes of Fairview Investing will continue their involvement on the investment committee.

Tillit opened its doors to the public last November, with the aim of shaking up the retail investment space and “revolutionise” how people invest. It charges a single platform fee of 0.4% which reduces by 0.01% every year until it hits 0.25% regardless of how large a customer’s pot is.

Currently 95 funds, investment trusts and ETFs are available on the platform and there are plans to expand the offering to enable transfers and pensions this year.

Earlier this year, it received £3.6m in a seed funding round led by Patrick Edwardson, Hjertman’s former colleague at Baillie Gifford.
