An open-ended fund named the Fundsmith Sustainable Equity Fund has been authorised by the FCA, effective from 7 September.
It will join Fundsmith’s existing Equity Fund, which often tops best-selling lists and has ballooned from £1.8bn in 2014 to £12bn by August this year.
The Equity Fund was launched in 2010 and its performance has impressed, returning 169% in five years against the MSCI World index’s rise of 109%.
Smith founded the investment firm in 2010 and is chief executive and CIO.
Fundsmith refused to provide further details on the launch.
