The fund had been put under review by the rating and research firm after David Millar, David Jubb and Richard Batty left to spearhead Invesco’s foray into multi-asset strategies.

At the time Morningstar OBSR said it would meet with the new additions to the GARS team Roger Sadewsky, Ian Pizer and Neil Richardson to analyse the impact of the changes on the fund.

The fund was first given a bronze rating by OBSR in 2009 (then an ‘A’ rating) when it was seen to have demonstrated consistent performance in line with its investment objective.

The multi-asset team that runs GARS, headed by Euan Munro contains more than 20 investment professionals with an average of 14 years’ industry experience.

At the time it was revealed three team members were leaving for Invesco, Standard Life Investments was at pains to emphasise that none of the trio were integral to the running of the fund.

Morningstar OBSR said it is now reassured that the team, under the continued leadership of Euan Munro and Guy Stern, remain focused on the successful management of the fund and have taken positive steps to strengthen the team who manage it.
