Over the next couple of months, the company expects to take on board a number of additional investment professionals, with whom, according to James, they are currently in “protracted discussions” with.
In a parallel development, Square Mile is also adding to its portfolio of clients from a broad range of companies across the investment industry.
“Square Mile is in constant contact with the market to work with new clients across the board, anyone who is seeking help with an investment,” James said.
He will be joining the team at the beginning of January 2014 and will work alongside fellow directors Richard Romer-Lee (managing director), Nigel Whittingham (head of distribution) and David Pickles (chief operating officer).
James was previously director at Concise Solutions providing consultancy services across a broad spectrum of the financial services industry since 2010. Prior to this, he worked at Investec Asset Management as UK sales director.
